inlingua Career Fast Track: Study English and Work
These programs offer the students an ideal opportunity to combine English Studies with practical, hands-on work experience. The following options are available:
A: Internship Program - students perform unpaid work for professionals to gain experience in an area in which they are already working or wold like to learn more about.
B: Volunteer Program - students perform unpaid work for non-profit organizations or special events assisting with a wide variety of tasks.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The internship program at inlingua Victoria offers students the opportunity to use and increase their classroom knowledge and acquire experience in their chosen field as part of their overseas studies, get to know more about Canadian culture, people and business.

| Working at the counter, interacting with customers, making sales. | |
| Restaurants – Eateries | (TOEIC score 425 – 650) |
| Bussing, hostessing, serving, answering questions regarding the menu, daily specials. | |

Requirements:
- Minimum age: 19
- Students must obtain a C30 Work-Study Permit
- Students must usually have at least some work experience or educational background in the job field they are interested in.
- Minimum English level: inlingua level A+ (TOEIC score 450 - 650)
- Minimum enrolment (8 weeks study / 8 weeks internship) Maximum enrolment (24 weeks study / 24 weeks internship)
- Students must enroll in the Full-Time Business English Program for a minimum of 2 months before entering the internship program.
Participants will be tested on the first day of classes and put into the appropriate English class in the morning.
Internship Placement Fees are: $700.00 CAD (unpaid Internships)
VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
This program gives students a unique opportunity to be involved in community projects, (sports and cultural events, campaigns, environmental groups, local festivals and many more), meet Canadian people, keep speaking English and make international friends.
Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18
- Have a Tourist Visa (visitors) or a Student Visa (study permit)
- Minimum English level: inlingua level 2B (TOEIC score 400 and up)
- Apply 4 – 5 weeks in advance
- Register at inlingua for a minimum of 4 weeks in any program.
Participants will be tested on the first day of classes and put into the appropriate English class in the morning.
Volunteer Placement Fees are: $350.00 CAD

Timetable:
Students will join the regular English classes in the morning (9:00 – 12:00)
In the afternoons students will get training in their chosen field, using the inlingua Business Models.
Materials
inlingua’s conversational method and the exclusive Business Modules are the basis of this program.
